Namche to Thyangboche: The Mountain Zone Photo Tour The chorten (Buddhist shrine) at the south entrance to Khumjung. Stupas, a low mani wall of carved stones, and strings of prayer flags surround the shrine. Behind is Khumbu Yul Lah, a sacred mountain of the Khumbu especially revered by the Sherpa people.
